Setting up and Recording Sponsorships (Acorn/Essentials)
Even without access to the dedicated Sponsorship Packages feature on Acorn or Essentials plans, you can easily set up, track, and record sponsorships for your event.
Note: This workaround is provided for Acorn and Essentials subscriptions (which do not include the Sponsorship Packages feature).
There are 3 steps for entering sponsorships:
- Creating a "vehicle" for selling each sponsorship level (Tickets or Items),
- Creating a Donor Record for each sponsor,
- "Selling" the sponsorship to the donor to record the transaction and payment
If you do NOT provide complimentary tickets to sponsors, it is easiest to create a catalog item for each sponsorship level: type = Sellable, FMV = $0.

If you want to sell sponsorships online - you can offer them as Add-on Items, along with tickets and/or setup your Campaign page to direct potential sponsors to.

If you are recruiting sponsors offline - you can record sponsorships by "selling" the sponsorship item to the donor by creating a new order.

If complimentary tickets are provided to Sponsors, it is easiest to create a ticket type for each sponsor level, then sell or issue the ticket to each donor/sponsor at that level.
