FAQ Sponsorship Packages

Q: How Can I Create Sponsorship Packages?

  1. How do I record sponsorships in my system?
  2. Can I include tickets in a sponsorship package?

A: How to Record Sponsorships (Based on Your Subscription Level)

The process for recording sponsorships on your site depends on your subscription level.

Here’s how to proceed:

  • Acorn, Plus, and Professional subscribers can create Sponsorship Packages that include tickets and complimentary items.
Here’s how you can do it: Creating a Sponsorship Package
  • If you have an Essentials or Legacy subscription, the process for entering sponsorships depends on whether you're offering complimentary tickets to sponsors.
For detailed instructions on both scenarios, including helpful illustrations, please refer to the linked article: Recording Sponsorships (Essentials)

Q: Can I Offer Sponsorships ONLY Via the Registration Form?

  1. Can I use the registration form just for sponsorships?
  2. Can I disable ticket sales but still offer sponsorships?
  3. Is it possible to enable only sponsorships without regular ticket options?

A: If you'd like to use the shared Online Registration Form exclusively for sponsorships (without offering tickets), you can absolutely do that!

Here’s how to set it up:

Step 1: Flag Sponsorship Packages to Display on the Tickets page:

  • Go to Site Settings > Registration > Sponsorships > Sponsorship Packages.
  • Review your existing packages and edit them as needed to ensure they’re available on the Registration (Tickets) page.

Step 2: Configure Sponsorship Display Settings

  • Go to Site Settings > Registration > Sponsorships > Sponsorship Settings.
  • Choose how the sponsorship options will appear (Full view or as a Collapsible Header)
  • Add an email address to receive notifications when someone purchases a sponsorship online (if desired).
  • When everything looks good, enable the Sponsorship Sales feature to launch online sales.

Step 3: Disable Ticket Sales

  • Go to Site Settings > Registration > Ticket Sales > Online Ticket Sales.
  • Turn Online Ticket Sales OFF, and update the Page Title to reflect that only sponsorships are available.

For detailed, illustrated instructions, please visit: Selling Sponsorships on Tickets Page.

Pro Tip: The labels used on the Homepage button and Menu Bar can be edited on the Online Ticket Sales settings page (even if Online Ticket Sales are disabled).

Q: How Can I Sell Sponsorships (Essentials)?

  1. Can I include tickets in a sponsorship package?
  2. How do I sell sponsorships?
  3. How do I display sponsor logos on my site?

A: Your Essentials-level subscription does not include the built-in Sponsorship Package feature, but you can still offer sponsorships using a few flexible workarounds based on your setup needs.

There are 3 steps for entering sponsorships:

  1. Creating Tickets or Items for selling each sponsorship level. (See: Recording Sponsorships (Essential),)
    a. If you do not provide complimentary tickets to sponsors, it is easiest to create a catalog item for each sponsor level, then record the sponsorship by "selling' the item to the donor by creating a new order.
    b. If complimentary tickets are provided to Sponsors, it is easiest to create a ticket type for each sponsor level, then sell or issue the ticket to each donor/sponsor at that level.
  2. Creating a Donor Record for each sponsor. (See: Adding a New Donor + Video)
  3. "Selling" the sponsorship to the donor to record the transaction and payment. (See: Creating a New Order from the Order Page)
