Add a Silent Auction (paper bidding)

Adding an ancillary silent auction (with paper bidding) to your event is fairly straightforward.

Registration Tips:

  • If you are issuing multi-person tickets (eg Golf Foursome), do not set up the ticket type to share a bidder number unless you want everyone on the ticket to share a cart/bill.   Instead, allow separate bidder numbers to be issued to each person and manually link couples that want to share a cart/bidder number.
  • Generally, everyone that wants to bid in an auction should have a ticket/bidder number to allow easy and fast recording of winners (placing items in carts.)    IF your silent auction is small, with only a small portion of guests expected to win an item - it is possible to allow guests to bid using their name, then either creating a new order on the Orders page or selling a $0 ticket from the check-in screen to issue a bidder/number/cart after the fact in order to record their win/purchase.
  • If your event offers tickets for the main event AND a banquet/dinner/silent auction only option - it should be offered as a ticket type rather than an add-on item to generate a bidder number (which can be manually linked ahead of time, or at check-in, to share with another guest.)
