Creating a Dessert Dash as a Voting Contest

Dessert Dashes are a fun segue from dinner to the live auction portion of your event where tables vie for the opportunity to select dessert for their table.   Originally, pledges were noted on paper bid sheets on each table - requiring pledges to be tallied before announcing the winners.    The voting feature allows guests to "pledge" for their table from their phones. Since the proceeds are visible in real time, participants can see how they're doing while they still have an opportunity to pledge - plus the winners list is available immediately at the close.
