Voting Display Screens

Each voter will have access to the current status of each contestant on their voting device, but you can also create displays to be projected for the entire audience.

Display screens are for in-person events only.

To Create a Voting Display:

Go to Site Settings > Events > Voting Contests > Contest Display Screens, then click the New Contest Display Screen button.

Enter Your Admin Settings

Admin Settings are NOT visible to the public.

  1. Name: Enter a name for the Contest Display (for your reference only).
  2. Contest: Select an existing contest from the dropdown menu.
  3. Display Type: Use the dropdown menu to select your preferred display type. 
    (Note: The Display Type can be changed at any time.)
  4. Number of Candidates to Show: Enter the number of contestants you want to display. 
    (Note: This setting applies to the Leaderboard only; graphs display all contestants)

Enter Your Display Settings

These settings are visible to the public.

  • Text at Top of Page: Enter the text you want to appear at the top of the display screen.
  • Display Theme: Select a theme from the available options.
  • Custom CSS (Optional): If a member of your team is familiar with CSS, they can add custom code to modify the look and feel of the contest display.
  • Display Countdown on Page (Optional): Check the box to include a countdown clock on the display.
    (Note: The countdown uses the closing time specified for the contest. If no closing time has been set, the countdown timer will remain hidden.)

Preview the Display:

To preview the Contest Display Screen:

  1. Go to Site Settings > Events > Voting Contests > Contest Display Screens.
  2. Click the Film icon to Preview the Contest Display.

Display Type:

Pyramid:

The Pyramid display type displays the top 10 contestants, with a banner indicating the number of additional contestants not shown.

Leaderboard:

Is best used for lengthy contestant names

To Launch/Project Display Screens

Go to Auction Night page > Online/Voting Tasks section > Display Screens > Click on Desired Display to Launch.
