Creating Mobile Display Screens

For Acorn, Plus, and Professional subscribers, Mobile Bidding Display Screens can be created to project onto a wall or display on a TV or monitor, allowing guests to watch, and cheer on, the mobile bidding in real time.

Thermometer displays screens are covered here.

To Create Display Screen(s):

Go to: Site Settings > Events > Online Auction/Mobile Bidding > Mobile Bidding Display Screens

To get started, click New Mobile Bidding Display Screen to access the display options.

Then select a Display Type:

  • Mobile Bidding Displays
  • Thermometer/Progress Tracker Displays

To Configure Mobile Bidding Display Screen:

Specify your desired settings and items to display:

  1. Customize the header: Add a header or Logo  in the HTML description box to personalize the top of the display screen.
  2. Choose number of items: Select how many items to display at once (1, 2, or 3) using the dropdown menu.
  3. Set scroll timing: Use the “How Often Should the Items Scroll” dropdown to choose how long each item displays (5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 seconds). The page refreshes as items scroll, so shorter intervals provide more up-to-date bid activity.
  4. Show recent bids: Select how many recent bids to display (0–3) using the dropdown menu.

Select display options:

  • Scroll Automatically (The page refreshes each time it scrolls. If you disable this feature, your display will not automatically update the bidding history.)
  • Display Image
  • Display Bid Number (only shown for guests with tickets)
  • Display Descriptions
  • Hide Bidder Names/Online Handles
  • Display Item Number
  • Hide Items Not Open for Bidding or Closed With No Winner

These settings allow you to tailor the display to best fit your event and audience.

To Preview your Display Screen:

To launch the Mobile Bidding Display in a new window, click the film icon next to your desired display screen.
