Awarding Transferred Items to High Online Bidder
If an online item does not receive a higher bid at the gala:
If the high bidder is a guest at the Gala: you can sell the item to their bidder number at the high bid amount to place the item in their Gala cart. Go to Auction Night > Sell an Item to record the sale.
If the high bidder is NOT present at the Gala: you must trigger the online sale to place the item in their online auction cart. Online Awards can be triggered individually (if there are only a few needing to be awarded) or via bulk edit by removing the "Paper bids" option. Once the items are flagged as "online bids" only AND Auto-Award is on, they will be awarded to high online bidders. (The award routine may take 10-15 minutes).
Make sure "Auto-Award items to winners at item closing date and time" is enabled at Site Settings > Events > Online/Mobile > Bidding Settings).
Optional: enable "Send an email notification to winner" at Site Settings > Events > Online/Mobile > Email and Text Notifications) - otherwise, send invitations to self check-out once items are awarded.
Edit Individual Items to remove "Paper Bid Sheets" option:
Go to: Catalog > Click on Edit Item icon:
To Bulk Edit Multiple Items:
Go to Catalog:
- Select Common filter = Offer via paper + online pre-bidding
- Click on Qty on Hand column header to sort by qty remaining
- Select all Items with qty = 1
- Click on Bulk Actions > Edit Bidding Style
Choose Online/Mobile Bidding Only and Save:
