Auto-Attach Gift Certificates to Emailed Receipts (Plus/ Professional)

Emailed receipts can now include gift certificates as attachments.

Gift certificates must first be set up on relevant items.

Externally-created gift certificates cannot be attached.

Go to Site Settings > Customize Your Site > Receipt Setup > Guest Receipt Setup

When “Include gift certificates as attachments on emailed receipts” is selected, gift certificates for items that are set up and flagged as gift certificates will be attached to completed (fully paid) emailed receipts.

There is no mechanism to prevent the duplication of gift certificates. As with printed gift certificates, it’s up to the vendor to verify that the certificate is valid, hasn’t already been redeemed, etc.
