Bid Types Allowed

Select the types of bids to allow:

Enter an Amount allows bidders to enter a bid amount equal to or greater than the current minimum bid.

Max Bids are similar to ebay-style bidding:

• Bidders specify the highest amount they are willing to pay for an item.
• The system will automatically place bids on their behalf, against other bidders, up to their maximum bid.
• Automated bids are placed at the minimum bid amount, but the interim bids may not display in the public bid history.

Single Bids via Quick Bid Buttons provide buttons at specified bid amounts for one click bidding. Buttons are provided for three bid levels:

• Current Minimum bid (1 minimum raise from current high bid)
• 2x minimum raise amount from current high bid
• 3x minimum raise amount from current high bid

Combo: Bidders may enter a single bid and/or place a Max bid.

• Allows bidders to bid against their own max bid.

Note: Buy Now prices allow a bidder to pay a premium price to bypass the bidding process and claim an item. Buy Now prices are optional and can be specified on an item by item basis or via a bulk edit. Items with Buy Now prices will automatically display the Buy Now option - it does not need to be configured as a setting.
