Auto-Sending Invitations to Bid at Check-in

Acorn, Plus, and Professional subscribers now have the option to Auto-Send Invitations to Bid to ALL Guests as they check-in for your Gala event.   Even if invitations have already been sent to launch pre-bidding, enabling this feature allows your front desk staff to confirm check-in with the message:  "You're all checked in - and we've just sent you a fresh invitation to bid. Previous invites will still work - but this one will be at the top of your inbox. . ."

Important notes about this feature:

  • This setting triggers invitations during regular check-in (from the Auction Night screen).   There is a separate setting for directing guests to online bidding after Self (Advance) check-in online - a new invitation is unnecessary after self check-in because they are already on your event site.
  • The Auto-send invites use the Automatic Invite Template.   Three invite templates are provided so you can prepare and tailor different text for initial invitations to bid, auto-sent invites and follow-up invites.

 

To enable Auto-Send option:

Go to:  Site Settings > Events >  Online Auction/Mobile Bidding > Invitations
