Learning the Check-in Tools

Buttons on the check-in screens make it easy to:

  • View and Edit both guest records for linked couples sharing a bidder number.
  • Unlink guests from the check-in screen.
  • Email invitations to bid at check-in (Acorn/Plus/Professional).
  • Sell multi-seat/person tickets at check-in.

Linked Couples:

During the In-Person Check-In (Auction Night tab > Check-In), you can unlink guests who haven’t checked in yet by clicking the 'Unlink' button.

When checking in linked couples sharing a bidder number, you can view/update the linked the second guest’s information by clicking the blue 'Edit' button in the Guest Information section of the Check-In page.

Sending Invites to Bid (Acorn/Plus/Professional):

Once guests are checked in, if they will be mobile bidding (smartphone bidding) at your event, you can email them an Invitation to Bid from the In-Person Check-In (Auction Night tab > Check-In). Simply click the Email Invite to Bid button on the check-in confirmation page. (Acorn, Plus, Professional subscriptions)

Selling Multi-Person Tickets at Check-In:

When an admission ticket that admits multiple guests (such as a Table or Couple’s Ticket) is sold at Check-In (Auction Night > Check-In > Sell a Ticket), an Additional Guest message appears at the bottom of the page. 

This message informs the ticket seller that the guest purchasing the ticket will be recorded as the Ticket Buyer, and that any additional guests included with the ticket can be checked in from the Check-In Confirmation screen by clicking the ‘Check in Another Guest of Ticket Buyer’ button. If those guests have not yet arrived, they can be checked in later by searching for the Ticket Buyer’s name at Check-In.
