Inviting Guests To Self Check-In
In this article, you’ll learn how to invite guests to use the Self Check-In feature for your event. Additionally, It explains how to select and send invitations to ticket holders, monitor check-in progress from the Tickets page, and resend invitations as needed.
Once you have enabled (turned on) the Self Check-In feature and chosen your desired settings, you can select the guests you would like to invite to check in online and send invitations. You can monitor the check in progress from the ticket page and resend invitations as needed.
Note: Self Check-in does not automatically provide access to mobile bidding, but you may include a "Start Bidding" button on the confirmation screen.
To direct guests to mobile bidding after advance check-in, go to: Site Settings > Events > Gala Auction > Self Check-in Settings.
To Select and Invite Ticket Holders to Self Check-In:
Go to: Tickets > Select Records > Bulk Actions > Email Selected Users > Select Template.
To send the Self Check-In invitation to ticketed guests:
- Go to the Tickets page.
- Select the guests you’d like to send the invitation to by checking the box next to their names.
- Click the Bulk Action button.
- Select Email Selected Users.
- Click Send Invitation to Self Check-In.
To Monitor Check-In Progress on Ticket page:
Go to: Tickets page.
From the Tickets page, click Customize button to add the Self Check-In Sent and Card Stored columns to your view. This allows you to see whether a Self Check-In invitation has been sent, and invitations can be resent as needed. Each time an invitation is sent, the corresponding timestamp will be displayed for reference.
Note: Stored cards are tied to a User account - so couples sharing a bidder number may display only one stored credit card, but it will be available for all orders created for their bidder number.
