Previewing the Self Check-In Process + Video
You can invite guests to skip the lines by checking in online prior to your Gala auction. You can preview the self check-in and self check-out processes in this video.
The Self Check-in feature has default language which allows you to simply turn it on and start using it, but it can also be customized for your unique event. For a more detailed preview, we recommend starting with a trial: invite yourself to check-in, then follow the steps. You'll see how it works, and can also review the default messaging in context so you'll have a better idea of how you'd like to personalize it for your event.
To turn on the self check-in feature:
Go to Site Settings > Events > Gala Auction > Self Check-in Settings
To invite yourself to check-in online:
Go to: Tickets > Bulk Actions > Email Selected Users > Select Invite to Check-in template > Send
Guest will receive an email invitation to self check-in and register for event:
Link will bring guest to self check-in form:
To hide:
Custom fields: Go to Site Settings > Customize Your Site > Look & Feel > Custom Fields and edit Custom Fields for Guests to Optional.
Table/Seat: Go to Site Settings > Registration > Tickets > Customize Registration Forms > Edit Guest Fields > Uncheck Display boxes for Table/Seat fields.
