Unassigning Guests to Exchange Tickets or Sponsorships
There are line item edit links on the Order page to allow you to edit (exchange) a ticket or sponsorship on the order for a different ticket or sponsorship.
If guests have not been assigned to any of the tickets, you may exchange them for any other available option.
If one or more guests have already been assigned to the ticket, you may encounter screen messaging that you will need to unassign those guests in order to select your desired exchange option.
This article provides instructions for unassigning guests from an unwanted ticket(s) and reassigning them to the desired ticket(s).
Note: Unassigning a guest merely removes their user record from a particular ticket so it can be added to a new ticket - all of their information (including stored credit card, if stored) will be retained.
To Unassign Guests from Tickets
To Unassign a Guest from a ticket or sponsorship:
- Go to the Orders page:
- Search for the desired order by buyer name and click the edit icon next to the order to manage it.
- Click the Edit Guest link next to tan assigned guest on the ticket or sponsorship.
- Select Make This Ticket “Unassigned”.
- Click "Next" button to continue.
- Click the Make Unassigned button to remove the guest record from the ticket.
Repeat steps 2–6 for any remaining assigned guests on the ticket or sponsorship.
Tip: Before unassigning, make a note of the guest names so you'll be able to search for and select their user records when you're ready to re-assign them to a new ticket.
Once all guests have been unassigned from the ticket or sponsorship, you can use the line item Edit Ticket/Edit Sponsorship link to exchange for the desired option.

- Click on the Edit Guest link to display the Ticket Assignment Form.
- Search for the Guests user record. (Note: Users already assigned to a ticket will NOT appear in the search results.)
- Click on the Switch to Selected User button to assign.
