Overview: Sponsorships
What You Need to Know:
Sponsorship packages can include items and/or tickets or be setup as a straight cash donation.
Sponsors can be promoted on your event site and receipts by flagging the desired display locations for each package: on the homepage, in the online catalog and/or on receipts.
Sponsorships can be purchased online or recorded by your team on the Orders page, to generate an invoice and register payment. Online options include using the Ticket Sales form, whether or not tickets to your event are currently being offered or setting up a separate fundraising campaign for sponsorships.
When a sponsorship package is purchased, the buyer's user record is automatically flagged as a sponsor and added to the designated Sponsor displays on your event site.
Promotional details (logo image, website, bio) can be collected after the purchase of the sponsorship using the Invite to Provide Sponsor Details email template, or by editing the confirmation email template to include instructions and the the [invite_to_provide_sponsor_details] merge tag.
Note: Sponsorship Packages are not included in Standard Legacy or Essentials Subscriptions.
Sponsor logos are managed a little differently from other custom images on your event site. To ensure they display correctly, upload sponsor logos directly to the sponsor's record on the Donors page — rather than through the usual image upload process. This can be done by you or a member of your team, or you can send the sponsor an Invitation to Provide Sponsor Details so they can upload their own logo themselves.
